Artist’s Comment
The shells from the sea have deep meaning in our engagement of life and death. The sea is full of life, chaos, turbulence, and is the source from which all has emerged. The shells are only what is left behind …the bones of past life ….cast upon the shore.
These relics hold precious beauty in their unique form and simplicity, and remind us of our own constitution and longevity. What will we leave behind, how will we be incorporated into the sand and the sea?
